Your Guide to Snippets: Automated Messages and Quick Replies
The Snippets section is where you can create, edit, and manage all of your message templates. Snippets are a powerful way to save time and ensure consistent, professional communication with your clients. They are pre-written, reusable templates for your emails and text messages that you can insert with a single click.
Snippets empower you to deliver personalized and on-brand messages in seconds, whether you're sending a quick reply from your phone or drafting a message from your desktop.
What Are Snippets?
A snippet is a saved message template. Instead of typing the same thing over and over, you can create a snippet for common responses, follow-up messages, or standard greetings. This ensures that every message you send is on-brand and consistent.
You can even use custom fields—special text in brackets like [Contact.First Name] or [Appointment.Date]—that automatically pull in a client’s information to make every message feel personal without the manual effort.
How to Find and Edit Snippets
Go to Social & Marketing in the main menu.
Click on Snippets.
You will see a list of all your saved email and SMS snippets with clear, descriptive names.
To edit a snippet, click the three dots (⋮) next to its name and select "Edit."
You can change the text in the editor.
Important Rule: When editing a snippet, DO NOT change the text in brackets (e.g.,
[Contact.First Name]). These are custom fields that automatically pull in the correct information. Changing them will prevent the system from working correctly.
How to Create and Use a New Snippet
1. Create a New Snippet:
In the Snippets menu, click the "+ New" button.
Give your new snippet a clear and descriptive name (e.g., "Follow Up After Consultation," "SMS - New Lead Welcome").
Write your message in the editor.
If you want to add a custom field, click on the Custom Field button in the editor and select the information you want to include (e.g.,
[Contact.First Name],[Location.Name]).Click "Save" at the top to finalize your new snippet.
2. Use a Snippet in a Conversation:
Navigate to your Communication Hub.
Select a contact and begin a new message.
Click the Snippets icon (often a small clipboard or puzzle piece icon) in the message editor.
Select the snippet you want to use from the list. It will automatically populate the message editor, with the custom fields filled in correctly.
You can now send the message instantly or make any final edits before sending.
